I know both SiRF III and NEMERIX are very good GPS chip. Which one is the latest technology? Which one is better?

Battery consumption: NEMERIX wins!
GPS performance for foot navigation (less than 5mph): SiRF III wins!
GPS for street navigation (speed of beyond 5mph): Both are equally good with the exception that the COLD-start time is better in the SiRF III.
