I Just got a Columbus V-900 GPS Logger from buyGPSnow.com a week ago (Very pleased with the service, I live in australia and it took less then a week to get hear) and after using it and reading the manual I think it is defective. In standared mode (Green Power Light) it starts gets a sat lock and then seems to do nothing for a 30 to 60 sec then the green sat LED will flash twice and then nothing again and so on. In Spy mode (Blue Power Light) the unit seems to do exactly the same thing even thow i have set it to log every 10min it still logs 30-60 sec and the unit will not go into standby mode.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal For one of these units or is the one i have a no good.
