oncourse v2 bluetooth connects but no fix

Oncourse v2 used work fine with both windows Xp and windows mobile. But now it connects I can see transmitting nmea statements (don't know exactly what) but there appears to be no signal on any satellites and, therefore, no fix. What can be wrong? Any ideas what could I do? thanks, Ven P.

Re: oncourse v2 bluetooth connects but no fix

One possible ways to fix this no GPS position fix issue is to turn on the Bluetooth GPS, connect to the GPS using the GPS testing program such as GPS Info and keep it running for at least 8 to 12 hrs until the battery on the GPS is fully drained.

Then turn the GPS to OFF, charge it for 2-3 hrs and bring it outside to re-test.

This should kill all outdated / bad GPS cached info in the unit. Once the GPS re-scan the sky for updated info, it should work again.
