    Editing GPS Logs

I have a Qstarz BT-1000 GPS Logger, and have been trying to find software to use to edit the GPS logs.  I occasionally get spurrious data points that I would like to delete.  Or I would like to remove every other point, or keep 1 out of 10 points, or join tracks together, etc.  There must be something that does this (visually), but I haven't been able to find it!   I would have thought that you could delete bad points in Google Earth, which would be the best option, since the logger exports directly to that, but it doesn't seem to work.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am sorry but I am not aware of any tools to delete a specific given points interactively thru a Graphic User Interface (GUI). Have you tried to adjust the log interval to 10 seconds or 15 seconds instead?

    Re: Editing GPS Logs

As I suspected, it IS possible to do this with Google Earth, but it is hardly obvious!  After much finagling, I managed to figure out how to do it, but it is hardly obvious.  I just managed to discover it by accident.  I knew it was there, but I couldn't figure out how to enable it!

Here is the process (and "secret")

In GE, select the path that you want to edit (expand My Path so that it shows the path symbol and a number)

Here is the "secret".  You have to right click on the Path and select "Properties".  A window will pop up that says Google Earth - Edit Path (not Properties!).

Now each of the points that the path is constructed from will appear, and can be deleted, moved, or added to, etc.
