Dopod 838 Pro+TomTom Navigator 6+Holux GPSlim 236 - No GPS Device (Flight Mode)

    Hi,

I have Dopod 838 Pro with Windows Mobile 6 and TomTom Navigator 6.  Holux Bluetooth GPSlim 236 GPS receiver is paired with Dopod with bluettoth connection. During pairing, I have cehck box for "Serial Port" is enabled. After pairing, I have created outgoing port with COM2 (Secured Connection checkbox is unchecked.)

When I launch TomTom Navigator and go to Preferances --> GPS Settings, select "Other Bluetooth Receiver and try to configure, I can see COM2 available but even if I select this port, it gives an error "No GPS Device (Flight Mode)". I have tried it using COM0, COM1, COM3 and COM8 but I get same error.

I can not user COM4, COM6 or COM7 ports since while creating outgoing port, if I select any of these ports, it says, this port can not be created.

It would be very helpful if you can guide me how to configure my device to use TomTom with Holux GPSlim 236

By the way, I also have Destinator 7 installed on the same device and while Outgoing Port is selected as COM2, Destinator 7 works fine..

    Thanks in advance..

    Regards,

    --Prasad

Try to uncheck the "Manage GPS automatically" checkbox and tap on OK to save the setting on that page before re-testing with TT6. This page can be found by tapping on Start | Settings | System tap | External GPS | and Access tab.

If nothing works, you may have to delete COM 2 as your outgoing COM Port and only stick with the highest COM Port, which is COM 8.

    Good luck.
