Cannot Connect Bluetooth Oncourse GPS to Treo 750 (WM6)

I received my oncourse bluetooth GPS receiver today and OCN6.  I have installed OCN6 with the patch that was needed from OCN. After getting over that hurdle I now cannot connect to the GPS receiver.  I go into my bluetooth connections and search for devices.  The bluetooth manager finds the receiver (BT GPS V20) at which time I input the passcode (0000). From there I feel like I've tried everything. I have opened my device to be available to others, selected a Serial Port to use from device (no idea what that means), added a new outgoing ports COM0 and COM8 (no idea what that means...) and still no blinking blue light or recognition from the receiver.  Going into OCN6 and attempting to detect GPS fails. Found a forum with 3 people with the same problem online, but no answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

May I know which forum you found 3 other people having the same issues?

Please do this and let us know your test result:

    1) Delete all pairing from your Bluetooth manager of your phone

    2) Start | Settings | System tab | External GPS | Access tab | uncheck the checkbox that says "Manage GPS Automatically...recommended", and tap on OK on the top right corner of the page to save the setting.

    3) Then, follow the instruction here and use COM 8 as the Outgoing COM Port for your device: http://www.buygpsnow.com/support/issue_view.asp?ID=3038

    4) Start OCN6 and re-scan for the GPS.
