    GlobalTop G33

    GlobalTop G33

This device when used with Streets and Trips 2008 on a tablet pc running Windows xp has a screen/actual position lag time of greater then 15 seconds.  Support at S&T 2008 says its the G33 at fault.  Support at GlobalTop doesn't seem to want to get back to me. BUT the G33 does work well with Delorme Street Atlas 2007 software - go figure?? A G33 issue or S&T issue or Bluetooth issue or ?  I'm disappointed with GlobalTop for lack of customer support.  I've duplicate this issue on 2 different laptops

Since the G33 is rated at 5hz, which means 5 updates of GPS position data per second.

Evidently, DeLorme was able to handle the extra data (despite it also ONLY support 1 hz / 1 update per seconds).

Have you attempted to downgrade the GPS to 1hz from 5 hz and re-test?

Please response with your test result.

FYI: Attached is the GPS utility to re-configure the update rate.
