    OCN6 Question

I have a 4 gig SD card that I use with my DELL Axim x51v.  Can I port the OCN6 (2gb) program to my 4gb card?  Does OCN6 only work with the card provided (locked into that card)?

    Re: OCN6 Question

Hi Stu, thanks for your post. This is impossible because OCN6 license is locked to the original memory card and will not work on another card.

FYI: Per OCN's FAQ below: source: http://www.oncoursenavigator.com/forum/default.aspx?f=10&m=5314

Q5: Can I copy OCN6 into anoter memory card / larger size card?
A5: No, OCN6 is preprogrammed to a memory card we shipped. If you try to copy the contents of OCN6 memory card to another card, you will get HardwareIDerror error message. However, we always encourage users to copy the content of the original card to a folder in their PC as a backup.

    Re: OCN6 Question

    Thanks for the answer.

I see that you have just started to offer OCN6 on a 4GB sd card.  Is this card compatable with a DELL Axim x51v PDA?  The card would have to be a plain SD card and not the newer SDHC variant.
    Thanks!

    Re: OCN6 Question

The card we have is a Class I, non-SDHC card with a speed rating of around 120x.

Most PDA is not compatible with SDHC standards and a 4GB SDHC will not be recognizable by many devices in the market at this time. So, the class 1, non-SDHC card will work on more devices in the current market.

NOTE: Yes, this card has been tested to work with Dell Axim x51v.

    Re: OCN6 Question

Sounds like a great solution.  I went ahead and ordered the 4-gig sd card option.

Further question, since OCN6 is based on IGO, will I be able to order/download European maps or do I have to buy the software specifically for Europe.  I will be traveling to Germany in June and it would be terrific to be able to use my PDA and bluetooth GPS there.

    Re: OCN6 Question

Does anyone know how to duplicate OCN6? It's really annoying to have to replace it when you wanna listen to mp3's....

Any cracks or way arounds out there?

    Re: OCN6 Question

Hi FNG, thanks for your post.

Discussion on software cracking is strictly forbidden here. Please see possible solution below.

Free up space on OCN6 memory card:

You may free up around 1GB to 1.5GB using the steps below on a 2GB card or a few hundreds MBs on a 1GB Card:

Read First - How do you make a complete backup of your OCN6?
    http://www.oncoursenavigator.com/forum/default.aspx?f=10&m=5830

and then see the FAQ below:
    Source: http://www.oncoursenavigator.com/forum/default.aspx?f=10&m=5314

Q11: If i get the 2gb microsd card, can i then get remove some of the maps (like canada) to recover space? Also - can i later copy the maps i remove back to the card incase of need?

A11: Yes, we recommend you back up a complete copy of the original card to a folder in your PC. To do this, you simply copy (not move or delete) the complete contests of the original card to a folder in your PC.
Once done, you may then delete individual maps from SD Card\OnCourse\Maps folder. To use any of the deleted map(s) in the future, you just have to copy
