I for one would jump at the oportunity to consider a purchase of a product for my Dell x51v... like the TomTom car cradle kit that hard-wires into your car's sound system. Unlike an FM modulator, I understand that the TomTom kit hardwires into the stereo so that normal CD music or radio can be listened to, but when TomTom wants to talk... the "normal" music is lowered way down, and TomTom talks over and above it all. When TomTom is done talking the the "normal" stereo sounds are raised back up to previous levels. So i guess this is an in-line bridge or gateway between the car's speaker system and the car's stereo. That makes sense... the unit would not be sensative to make or model of car or stereo. Do not know about anyone else... but that to me is cool and the right way to go! Heck all I really need is a Axim to TomTom converter that would allow the Axim (or any other PDA) to mount into the TomTom cradle.
Only draw back I can see is that the cradle could not be moved between cars. But who wants to do that anyway?
Sign me up for one of the early units please!
