Buygpsnow helped me after I was ignored by the manufacturer for months. They agreed to replace my item although they were not bound by contract and it was really between me and the manufacturer. I have to say that as a veteran online shopper, this was a very pleasant surprise.

As for the manufacturer, HOLUX has bad accessability and an even worse customer support. Their GPS slim 236 is great when it works but if you have a defective unit the warranty is as good as toilet paper. Their store is located in Taiwan, and I sent them two emails about two months ago and still haven't received a reply. Take this into consideration before you buy any of their products.
