    CoPilot Live 7 install question??

I ordered a BT & software bundle to install in my Verizon XV6800 running WM 6.0.

I see the software comes pre-installed on a 2 gig Micro card.   I already have a 4 gig card in my phone & need to install the GPS software/maps etc to that.

When I receive the stuff, can I copy the contents of the new card to my existing card so I can use the existing 4 gig card for the install??

Hi, John. Yes, it is possible to use your own memory card to install CoPilot Live 7.

FYI: Activation is required on this program, and it will work on your new memory card since the license is not locked to any memory card. However, if you wish to change your PDA / phone, you must first de-activate your activation (thru the registration/activation page at alk.com) before you could re-activate it on a new device.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, that is basically what I figured.

How much storage space do the programs/maps etc. take up??

Hi John, I believe it takes up about 1GB for programs and maps.

Thanks, that will work out perfectly.

I use mainly Garmin units, but it will be nice to have the NAV setup in my phone as a backup.
