    Best data logger for MacBookPro

    Locked Reply Contact

    Hello:

What would be the best datalogger for a MacBookPro?  Leopard OS, USB and bluetooth. I assume that any GPS datalogger will transfer the raw data to the Mac but I will need software that will work on the Mac to synch up my photos.

    Suggestions?

I do have an Emtac Bluetooth GPS unit...can that operate as a datalogger? If "yes" can I get software to do the geotagging?

    Thanks!

    Tom

Re: Best data logger for MacBookPro

Hi Tom. Welcome and thanks for your post. This is a great question!

The choices of data logger for Mac is very limited because most of the GPS data logger comes with data logger download utility written for Windows OS only.

We recommend either Wintec WBT-201 or WBT-200 and use the free GPSBabel (beta stage as of writing) to download the logged data.

For geotagging, you ould use the downloaded Logged data in conjunction with either:

    A) JetPhoto

    or

    B) GPSPhotoLinker (Mac OS X 10.3+)

FYI: This way to the product page for Wintec WBT-201 product page:
