Hi, you may consider either the iGuidance 4 combo or the DeLorme combo package. They both only have maps for USA and Canada but not India.

    thanks for the info.

also how much do they cost. if there is any software for free. which is good. cause i don't have a lot of mone to spend on software cause i just spent about $400 on cingular 8525 and some accesories.

     thanks again

Yes, for your 8525, you may use Google Maps for Mobile for free but you must have Internet Connection from your device.

    Pls see GMM here: http://www.google.com/gmm/index.html.

NOTE: GMM does not provide the following features which a full blown GPS software would do such as:

    1) Auto re-route if you missed a turn.

    2) Provide step-by-step visual and voice prompts.

    3) All maps are stored on the memory card, hence no need to be connected to the Internet to down maps.

    4) and may other features...

Nope, there is nothing free for laptop. The most cost effective is the Microsoft Street and Trips 2007: http://www.buygpsnow.com/microsoft-streets-trips-2007-software-683.aspx
